astm 1.75 Titanium tube is a metal made from titanium and other chemical elements. One of the most popular types of unalloyed titanium is commercially pure titanium tubing. Titanium seamless tubing is used in the following applications: airframe components, cryogenic vessels, heat exchangers, CPI equipment, condenser tubes and pickle baskets. Packaging of titanium welded tubes depends on whether the tubes are shipped individually (large diameter titanium tubes) or in bundles (small diameter titanium tubes). Bundles of titanium round tubes are connected to metal strips or wires in the transverse direction. It is important to bundle them very tightly so that the individual tubes do not rub against each other and cause damage.

how are titanium tubes made?
There are two kinds of titanium tubes, one is welded titanium tube and the other is seamless titanium tube.
(1) The welded titanium tube is made according to ASTMB337 by welding after the sheet is rolled, which has short production process and high production efficiency.
The production process is: titanium strip coil - longitudinal shear forming - welding - shaping and sizing - heat treatment - straightening - eddy current, ultrasonic testing - gas tight testing -Finished welded pipe.
(2) Seamless titanium tubes are made according to ASTMB338 by extrusion process, and the maximum length of seamless tubes can reach 15m.
There are two methods of preparing titanium tube billets.
One is a drilling/perforating extrusion process with high metal loss but uniform wall thickness of the billet.
The other is an oblique rolling and piercing process with low metal consumption but large tolerances in billet thickness. The wall thickness of seamless titanium pipe is generally smaller, and the special diameter is also smaller.
