Product Introduction
Electrolytic deposition is an electrolytic process in which high purity metals are deposited on a cathode by applying external electrical energy. During electrolytic deposition, the metal undergoes a reduction reaction at the cathode and water decomposes at the anode surface to release oxygen. The latter reaction is called the oxygen precipitation reaction (OER). Although these two reactions are the main redox reactions in electrolytic deposition, a number of other reactions take place at the electrode surface. Dsa titanium anode ru ir coated for metal electrowinning are the main components of electrodeposited metals. Proton reduction, also known as hydrogen precipitation, occurs at the cathode surface. This reaction is undesirable because it consumes electrons and reduces the metal deposition current efficiency. Although the standard reduction potential of protons is higher than that of the metal, the rate of hydrogen precipitation is significantly lower under electrolytic deposition operating conditions. This is a result of the high overpotential of hydrogen precipitation on the metal surface, which makes it difficult for the reaction to occur. Co-deposition of elements with low overpotential for hydrogen precipitation reaction, such as cobalt and copper, reduces the electrolytic deposition current efficiency.

| How to choose the right titanium electrode for electrowinning? | One of the basic goals of electrolytic deposition is to obtain high-quality anode materials with high corrosion stability and high cathodic activity. A good electrode material should remain inert and be able to release oxygen at the lowest possible overpotential during electrolytic deposition. A good electrolytically deposited titanium electrode should be electrochemically stable, chemically resistant in a strongly acidic environment, with low oxygen precipitation overpotential, mechanically stable and environmentally safe, as well as improving the morphology of the cathode metal deposit. |

why choose us:
XUBOU has developed a new dsa titanium anode ru ir coated for metal electrowinning. Compared to conventional lead alloy anodes, it can significantly reduce the tank voltage and thus the power consumption during the electrowinning process. It has the added advantage of suppressing products such as lead, MnOOH or CoOOH on the anode.
